alton brown is the man. i want to get his "i'm just here for the food" book. they just put out a new edition of the version that came out a few years ago...was checking it out at powells and it looks really dope, chock full of science, recipes and food tidbits:

Hey, great book! I just finished reading it a second time. He crams a lot in there about how and why you do things and not just a bunch of lather-reinse-repeat recipes like most cookbooks.

ps The Sean Lennon video was cool. I met Julian a few years back at a local concert and was amazed at how much he looked and sounded like John; now I see that Sean also has a good bit oh his father's voice and talent too! I'll have to get that album.
